Alex Hall is a lens-based Chinese Canadian artist based in Toronto, Canada. She specializes in analog photography and alternative processes. She holds a BFA in photography and a minor in English literature from the Ontario College of Art and Design University (OCAD U). Her work has been featured in the Toronto Outdoor Art Fair, CONTACT Photography Festival, and CF Toronto Eaton Centre.
Alex plays with using documentary photography based in personal experiences as well as material driven explorations. She thinks about how the presentation of her work is heightened by paper choice, composition, and experimental materiality. Wanting the viewer to leave her work with more curiosity and connection.
